I recently got ranked in top 25 for an extremely competitive keyword and at the same time it's a very generic keyword.

more than 2 milion broad searches
CPC of 1.5$.

With some work and money investment i hope to get in the top 15 within 2 months.
I am seeing a more constant and higher traffic flow, but not much higher earnings (maybe because of the past holidays).

So Ads*nse masters, do you think I can expect greater earnings if I get in top 15?

I think you can expect around 5000 UV's per month in Top 15.

More traffic = more money

Usually the Top 3 sites get the majority of the revenue for your keyword , You would need page one atleast to be honest to make some money

Traffic is nothing without revenue , You could have 20k UV's per day and make nothing..

3-4$ on a bad day and 16-17 on a good one. I get a very different ctr and cpc every day

Well done, now replicate it to other sites and you'll increase your revenue every month.

Because this is supposed to be an authority site, i'm also targeting other keywords as well.For a few low competition KW I'm already at #1 spot, for a few others with 2k-10k exact searches i'm in top ten. I also plan to bring about 3 KW to number 1 and hope for mre traffic from search engines.

When you can bring your site to 15 within 2 months that too with competitive niche sure you can bring it on top 3 withing few months. Don't worry about low earnings you gonna earn more in future. Don't loose hope its the same situation happens for all big sites while starting. Keep trying.

Adsense cpc is totally depended on the traffic source country. USA and such countries are paying a lot more than other countries. Also invalid clicks sharply decreases cpc as they counted as click but no revenue.
