There is quite a lot of traffic I can get to my site through Yahoo answers, and I was wondering if Google is ok with clicks from this kind of traffic. The only reason I ask is because it is sort of similar to that CL method from a while back where you link to your site and a % of the visitors click your ads.

I did this a few years ago. Worked well until someone in the YA community complained. And when I say complained I mean they posted a response (to one of my questions) by adding a link to adsense abuse. Needless to say, my site was banned. Luckily not my whole account. So I'd be careful.

Probably websites are used as "sources" on that site all the time so Google shouldn't be overly suspicious of traffic from there. However I wouldn't be too spammy about posting links to my own website on there.

You must have been too spammy on YA (or at least your website) because Google's own rules for Adsense don't mention anything about no YA traffic.

Ya, I probably was a little too spammy and caught someone's attention. But this is part of what the email GA sent to me:

"UNWANTED POSTS ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES: Publishers may not draw attention to a website displaying Google ads in a manner that violates AdSense policies. For example, publishers may not place unwanted or misleading advertisements on third-party websites, such as Craigslist.org, to drive traffic towards a site with Google ads."

Cheers for the replies guys. I will be posting long genuine replies, with the link in the source, or something similar. I won't be spamming like crazy, so I am going to go ahead with it.

Yes.It dosent matter only the searches and clicks have to be genuine

The downside of posting your website link to highly active forum/community is that your site will be vulnerable to any click spam.

I have encountered a client that his adsense account was suspended due to porn traffic, and that came from his competitors.

So be careful.
