Hi - anyone here more knowledgeable than myself (which should pretty much include all of you) care to comment on a series of sites being sold on Flippa? The sites are being sold by a seller claiming revenues of $900/mo! Sounds like BS to me but they're still selling. What's the deal? Safe or not for someone not wanting their adsense account banned? lol

I tried adding the links but haven't been a member long enough.

I wouldn't mind grabbing one of them up but hesitant about having adsense yanked.

As always, if it's to good to be true, it usually is.

Always ask for further proof if you plan on investing money into something like that.

Although screen-shots aren't really reliable with many being easily photoshopped.

You can ask them to let you into their analytics account for a particular profile.
You can ask them to give a teamviewer presentation for adsense/other network earnings

Try to contact with the Flippa admin and learn more about the insights of the site before investing....don't know much....but felt that i should share what i know best of luck mate

It's legit if the traffic sources are organic.. (google,yahoo,bing,aol and more)

101% SCAM if the traffic sources are from Social Media sites like Facebook, Twitter and many more..

I bet its scam - why sell a site if its making easy money.

Buying google dependant money making sites - especially adsense - in my humble opinion is the worst thing you can do with your money.

Google can slap your ass in oh so many different ways and you can lose everything in just a blink of an eye. You can even get blasted by your competition. Also AdSense is changing in a major way.

Keep your money and invest them in something more profitable.

If a site is legitimately making $900 a month, that's $10,800 a year. Following a loose industry standard multiplier of 3 (that's conservative), the site should be worth at least $32k. If it's selling for anything less than that, it's pretty much worthless, or will be in a few weeks/days after the sale. Avoid.

Ask for past 6 months Adsense and Analytics reports. And the earlier reply says, a $900/mo will be sold at $20K minimum. So don't get scammed.

Is the seller reputable? Look into Flipping Enterprises portfolio. They have a few thousand dollar per month sites for sale right now you can buy.

Update: Well, much as I suspected it's a BS scam. While the seller nickname I mentioned (johnpaul01) has 95% feedback over 37 transactions - goes to show you that flippa transaction feedback means nothing. The seller has an alias nickname on Flippa as well "Inilu" and feedback is now coming in from people who delayed giving feedback on the transaction itself - all with adsense accounts banned.

I appreciate the responses. As I mentioned in my initial post it sounded like bs to me BUT so many people were snatching them up and still leaving great feedback.

He had video screencasts of the accounts. I didn't buy it. I asked to see the adsense payment history but he wouldn't reveal it - I knew for sure then it was a scam. My thought was that anyone can accumulate "estimated" earnings in an account - doesn't mean a thing if google never pays out. He claimed they'd been doing it for years to which I responded then he would have a payment history right there in the adsense account. Apparently they were throwaway adsense accounts - had never actually been paid by google.

Flippa doesn't seem to be too concerned about what people are actually selling there. It's absolutely filled with scams from nearly every angle. Difficult to discern who is legit and who is not. There are sellers with thousands in sales, suspended; sellers with 100% feedback, banned. I don't want to get too far off topic - but I've contacted Flippa concerning several obvious scams and they're still selling. Their basic response is perform your due diligence. Thanks

i dont knoow what percent of the sellers on flippa are legit...i think most are scammers...seriously i see lots of sites that claims to make like 300$ a month and gets sold for 1500 or less. i am talking about some micro niche site. Why wood you sell a site that you claim that you dont have to do nothing and still get 300$ every month? And the sellers answer it's awesome: to reinvest in new projects!

Like ?????? I agree adsense is changing in big ways and it does concern me how easily google can take it all away - and for whatever unspecified reason of their choosing it seems - blanketed under the statement of protecting thier advertisers lol So you bring up valid points.

What would be good, reilable alternatives for someone not skilled in SEO, site creation, affiliate marketing?
