How many searches a month is considered a "good" keyword?
I have a bunch of keywords that I searched on Adwords Keywords tool. I have no idea how many views\month would be considered "decent" though. 10$ a day at least from that site.
How many views do you consider worth the effort before building the site up and building content on it? I'm talking about small sites.
Micro niches as they say? I'm a noob

Depends on your niche. you may get good conversion from a low search amount if its really targeted.

Would 6000 be considered "average"? Or anything below 10000 with medium competition

If you are a newbie I'd go with around 3000/month and low competition so you will see good results sooner and you won't give up as I did with my first campaigns.

Re: How many searches a month is considered a "good" keyword?
In my opinion i'd leave anything less than 3,000 Exact searches a month. Also use the advanced option in Adwords tool and set it to USA, if it's got high searches in the USA and low competition its worth a shot!

Re: How many searches a month is considered a "good" keyword?
-first of all they have to be exact searches not broad searches.
-devide the number by 3. this is round about how many visitors you will get if you are in top 5 position in google for your keyword.
-devide the number by 100 times 5. that is 5 % will buy your offer. you can play around with this number between 1%-10% will buy your offer/fill out the cpa/click your adsense ad. it depends on the niche and how well your site is.
now you can decide if it is a good idea to go after a keyword.

I agree with this, and make sure it is exact searches and not broad/phrase searches. I made that mistake the first time.

I think 3000 Exact searches will be helpful

Re: How many searches a month is considered a "good" keyword?
I wouldn't necessarily build a site around 3000 searches a month unless like someone said it was a really profitable niche but I would create a page for it if I think it had some merit.

Re: How many searches a month is considered a "good" keyword?
I'd consider 6000 to be average. In my experience, there is a correlation between searches and difficulty. If a keyword has 60000 searches, you can bet that there are a lot of people chasing after it. Likewise, if a keyword only has 600 searches, you'll like rank with very little effort.
