Finding PPC for a keyword
Hello everyone,
I need a little help. I am trying to find long tail keywords that have low competition and have high cpc.
I am trying the Traffic estimator tool of Google and for most long tail keywords it does not give any CPC.
How can you calculate the average CPC for these type of terms?
Do you break down the long tail keyword into small keywords and look at the CPC of the small keywords?
Thanks

You do not need to calculate this. Google tells you what it is. You have to manually select the CPC. Log into your Adwords account and go to the Keyword Tool. Then click the 'Columns' tab on the far right side of the screen. Then select "Approximate CPC". Do your search and keywords pop up with the CPC column included. Wala!
By the way "long tail keywords that have low competition and have high cpc" also normally have very low traffic per month. These are still good to use though as long as your purpose is targeting the higher level keywords using the long tails to do it. Just stay away from the ones which have traffic that are less than 30 per month (IMHO). Youll see a lot of very high paying keywords that don't even get 1 person a day searching for it.
