Hi guys,

So bassicly I've found some very good keywords regarding diseases or health issues. However, I believe I've heard somewhere that you could get into some real trouble when you're having a site like "how to cure xxx" because something might go wrong when they follow your advise? Could someone tell me how much of this is true? Would this problem be solved when you put a disclaimer on your site?

It's not just the issue of recommending potentially dangerous treatments to people without any sort of medical credentials (and I don't think a disclaimer in your wordpress footer is gonna cut it in court if someone dies), for years now the FTC has been suing people for claiming that certain products can cure diseases without any sort of credible scientific evidence. They're going after the big players, but you never know... I would stay away.

I'm not going to promote a new so called "revolutionary" treatment. It's just going to be a normal adsense info page. Furthermore, I wont be promoting a product I created, it's only for adsense so besides info I'm not giving them a product to use.

Just get a disclaimer. Here a random one I found, just switch it around.

The sad thing is no one wants a cure except people and families that are touched by these incurable diseases. The money is in the treatment not the cure. Diabetes would be rather easy for our scientists to cure, but the most powerful people and groups in the world would lose their main revenue stream in selling drugs and supplies to these people affected by this disease.

Their are specific types of cancer we can cure even today....

Please stay on topic. The question is if I'm at risk in the case of me putting up a page which shows "5 home remedies to cure..." and only put adsense on it.

I think it is a great idea for a site. This niche has a lot of your highest paying keywords in adsense.

My advice is to have a disclaimer like mentioned above, do not use a US or Euorprean host; use a host from a country that is not cracking down on such sites; and make sure you are an anoyomous owner of the site if you live in one of these countries.

wouldnt worry at all had "how to cure xxx" adsense sites for over 2 years, most of them doesn't even have a disclaimer

I recommend that instead of writing for example: "How to cure flu" write "How you may cure flu" that way it is not a fact but looks like one.

Joel comm just wrote a new book about the FTC and how to properly stay within the guild lines, With that said, I happen to know personally as fact that a disclaimer is worthless in most cases. if you are making money in any way, shape or form they will find you liable, why do you think they (FTC) chase anyone that promotes 'weight loss or cures'.

Well.. I think as long as you don't live in the USA, FTC can do nothing, maybe apart from requesting your host to delete the website..
