What CTR is too high?
I'm afraid my CTR on a new site i put up is too high. The first day it was 22%, today it's something like 12%
I saw this on the Adsense TOS:
"No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant."
Obviously, the CTR is so high because there's little there besides ads. Is this a risky thing to do?
What is the highest CTR you can get away with in AdSense?
I do'nt want to lose my Adsense account...

Re: What CTR is too high?
My average CTR is always over 15%. Sometimes as high as 70%.
I do use a LOT of psicology on the sites so people tend to "look for places to click".
However, I am also scared that this ultra high CTR gets me in trouble.
I DON'T have a massive ammount of traffic (average 177 visitors per day) and I get around $3 to $12 daily.
The tactics have been working so good I'm now focusing on create more traffic to this sites. I can only hope there will be no problem.

Re: What CTR is too high?
That CTR is actually quite normal. I've had it around 30% consistently for a few of my sites and no problems had ever arisen outside of some bullshit click fraud detection, which never even happened. You're fine imo, you're making them $ so if you aren't doing anything fishy they love you for it.

Re: What CTR is too high?
As long as you're not blatantly violating the TOS, 22% isn't that high. It just depends on the niche.

Yeah, i have sites consistently getting over 30%. The main thing i would worry about is getting a human review from adsense and having your site violating the TOS

Re: What CTR is too high?
violating TOS is very subjective. they claim they don't want MFA sites but then they give you all those tips meant to turn your site into an MFA site. like WTF???
do any REAL sites follow those tips? NO, becuase they would look like MFA sites, like total shit.
anyway that's my gripe with google.

Re: What CTR is too high?
Anything above 8-10% after a month of installing adsense, and u get flagged....that means thats when they run checks on the validity of ur clicks...
if ur faking the clicks, just keep it below 8% and ur safe...

Re: What CTR is too high?
Now, it's important to use something else than just adsense.
Specially if you are getting high "real" CTR.
You can try Adbrite or even better a PPA (pay per action) program

Re: What CTR is too high?
Mh from my experience adbrite earning are usually 1/5th of adsense. (Doesn't really matter if you wait like 10 days to select Ads with high CPM and CPC).
But yeah I know adbrite doesn't really care about CTR.
I sometimes get websites sending me 20-30 clicks over 5-10 impressions!

Re: What CTR is too high?
It can raise flag from gugle point of view but as long as you abide by the rule, you shouldn't be afraid of getting penalised. one reminder from me, be very careful if you plan to log in adsense account from public pc. anyone who then login to the pc and click on your ads, gugle might consider as if you are the one who click on your own ads... it happens so be very careful...

Re: What CTR is too high?
20-30 shouldn't be a problem, but "probably" once you're above 50% you may raise some flags and might expect a visit from the adsense team, for anything suspicious.

Re: What CTR is too high?
I have 50%+ in some of my sites, and traffic is flowing quite well(a few hundreds/day), had no trouble yet, and it's all running for a few months.
Maybe it might make them want to double check you, but as long as you don't do anything bad, it should be fine no matter how high your CTR is
