Business Listings Website - How do they do this?

Any idea how these guys list hundreds of local businesses? This is a great idea for an Adsense site as they always rank high in the SERPs for local searches. I have been trying to figure it out but have not had any luck so far...

Phone Book?

Yeah probably from some phone book company (eg. whitepages..etc) or via some type of harvesting script.

Have not looked at the site, but there are tons of people selling business listing on most webmasters sites. You can get them really cheap too. A lot will break them up, into categories.

Check out DP and WF. Someone is always trying to flog an old addresses database they have been holding on to.

Plus, there is a lot of scraping software now, so people just unleash a crawling bot.
