Leads from Craigslist to Adsense
If I bring leads from Craigslist to a page with Adsense and mask the traffic, will Adsense eventually shut me down or have others had success with this?
What is the best PPC program after Adsense with a good payout and targeted ads for what you are offering on your page?
Thanks I appreciate the help!

Re: Leads from Craigslist to Adsense
On this subject, I have learned a lot.
a) traffic from Craigslist is ok
b) don't route the traffic directly to an adsense sponsored page, let them hit a landing page first.
c) make sure that from the landing page, they have to hit a qualification page ( basically a page where they know more about product details and have the option to sign up to your stuff or click away with google.
d) if you do the above, the value of those clicks will increase a lot.
example :
I have a site that deals with auto repairs ( a specific brand, make and years ), I route from craigslist people whom want to know more about how to find those problem on that make and year. landing page is make and years with a clickable link to the answers.
the answer page has adsense on it with the answers ( how to solve ) and estimated cost.
Earning have gone from $ 12.00 per day with 150 visitors, to $ 28.00 per day with 200 visitors over 18 months.
I now have at least 2 cpm clients on those pages maybe even more.
I host a few other sites in which I have craigslist traffic inbound. and I feel that if they hit a landing page free and clear of advertising, and progress towards one of the adsense pages I won't be banned.
I had a site a few years back that was all CL's with about 1000 visitors every day, it got shut down after 2 months because of "lack of conversions".

Thanks for the reply. This is very insightful and makes me optimistic! What conversion rate or click through ratio would you say keeps you in the clear with google? So the site receiving 1000 visitors per day got shut down because of a low CTR? Were you making a killing receiving so many visitors? Sometimes I wonder if it is better to limit earnings to $30 - $50 a day to stay under the radar. What do you think?

Re: Leads from Craigslist to Adsense
hmm, tough questions, since Google will ban people for MFA sites.
I don't think you'll really have a problem if your landing page has about 500 + words and it takes over 30 seconds to read. then they click over to the Adsense page and spend a few seconds more reading.
you could get away with a ton of traffic if you had multiple landing pages all leading to the adsense page. Just make sure that it would be a justifyable click for google.
don't forget, once the click happens, Google will track it. the better your clicks coverts for the advertisers the more Google will pay you as a percentage of the revenue they earned.
Now, here is a dirty trick, I like to ban the top advertisers every now and then, since with goggles' pricing tricks, the top player might not be paying top price. so when you establish a site for 1 year and google has over looked you, think about banning someone for a month, screws up google but improves your return.

I've been making around $12 per 150 visitors myself. I've got a ton of Amazon outgoing links and a list of ebay links as well. I can't see how I could be considered a MFA site (with approx 600 words per site)...but I'm going OK with adsense.

Re: Leads from Craigslist to Adsense
This is only a guess, but it's based on some decent research.
getting banned from google is easy. all you have to do is make the site worthless to the visitors.
so in order to avoid that issue, make the site worth it to the readers, google does measure the time on site. so when you finish the site, time how long it takes to read it ( and ask someone else to read it ).
after that, break it down to a few paragraphs so that it adds extra time ( due to scrolling )
use any of the good SEO programs to find problems. fix those problems
don't use google on your landing page from Craiglist Backpage ... it's a fast way to invite problems.
MFA sites are no longer MFA when they help the consumer. and at the end of the day, that's what google want's, a site that the consumer will use to find a product ( or a need ) filled.
if you can do what I just stated ( visitor happiness ) then you will be able to avoid being slapped by google.

was doing research on this subject and here are results
12/20/10 It's definitely not allowed in more ways than one.

You need to re-read your post.
For example, publishers may not
place unwanted or misleading advertisements on third-party websites, such as Craigslist.org, to drive traffic towards a site with Google ads.
You can use craigslist to send traffic to your site as long as you:
- Don't mislead the users, ie....have a site about Baseball Cards and post a ad telling people you have a free dating site or spam your link all over the place.
- Don't send traffic directly to a page with Adsense enabled.
If your going to use things like Craigslist, Yahoo Answers or any form of non organic search engine traffic, ensure you send it to a neutral page first and allow the user to browse your site which may lead to a click through. Most people will go to a couple of pages before leaving your site.
