I have been blogging for over a month now and have not been able to make any money. I'm at $2.50 total right now. I have 7 blogs on blogger, and have been learning a lot by reading through these forums, but am still not making any money.

I just don't understand how you guys are getting your sites indexing so quickly. I keep hearing about people getting indexed in a few hours. I created a blog yesterday and posted 15 posts, maybe two sentences each, plus pictures, and 2 longer posts today. I posted links on mixx, jumptag, and digg, as well as maybe 10 other social bookmarking sites. Today I used jim's auto blog commenter and posted about 50 comments. When I type my URL into google, only about 6 links come up. Yahoo site explorer shows zero backlinks, and google webmaster tools shows zero backlinks. One of the links that shows up by a google search is from a PR 5 site. Still my site is not indexed... WTF?

And I really don't understand how any of your sites are being indexed with such little content. I've seen some sites with only like 5 pages that were in the top few spots on google.

I am also assuming that those of you who make money with a*sense do so by having sites that rank high in search results. The links I am posting on social bookmarking sites drive in VERY little traffic, like 10 views a day.

7 blogs about what? SPECIFIC niches or keywords..or just generic autoblog stuff?

It takes me at least 4-5 days to get indexed. (with everything you mentioned above) Takes about a month if I've targeted the right keyword to show up on the first page of Google.

Couple of days ago I made $8 from 15 clicks with adsense on one particular site. I'm VERY targeted to just one keyword and Google seems to love me for doing it this way.

Where are these blogs of yours ranking?

well, i am still experimenting right now. the first few i started were more about me. then i tried a few without really doing any research, kinda broad subjects. after reading posts here i have been trying to research more specific keywords and go with that for the last few blogs. like i said, i am new and learning. i AM learning, but not yet earning, lol.

now you say it takes you about a month to get 1st page on google, are you adding lots of content, or creating one of those micro niche sites that have like 2 articles loaded with keywords? i just wish there were some example sites of micro niche sites/blogs out there so we could all learn from them.

i'm not sure i understand what you are asking though in regards to where my blogs are ranking... for page rank, if they are indexed at all, they are PR 0. i don't know what other rank you are referring to.

and what about your methods for choosing a keyword to go with and create a micro niche site? i am using the adwords keyword tool. i am using the exact match type (now anyways, lol). i have been sorting the results by competitor type, least competition at the top, then scrolling down and looking for the first keyword that has several thousand global monthly search results. then i search in google for this keyword and scope the competition to see if i want to build a site based on this keyword. is this a good way to go about my keyword choices?

Domain: *ONE* keyword (well researched)
Pages: 7 total - Index page (300-600 words keyword targeted), 4 other pages (300-600 words) alternate keywords to the main keyword. 1- Privacy policy, 1-contact

i just wish there were some example sites of micro niche sites/blogs out there so we could all learn from them.
