Default Is Adsense still a little earner?

I was on holiday the other week and i left the computer behind and I took some books with me. The books I took were Domain into Dollas, The Adsense Plan and Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. My plan was to take something from all these books and build some good adsenses sites.

But...

Just lately I keep coming across a number of posts about adsense going down, e.g. click prices going down.

Is this true?
Are people still making a good amount of money on adsense?

If adsense is getting weaker with their click prices I might have to adjust my plan slightly.

Would like to hear feedback on both sides of the adsense stroy.

It depends on the site you're running and your ctr and conversion rate
i would assume. If you get a lot of good targeted traffic that converts
well, adsense will reward you with higher epc. If you're doing black hat
or running miniature sites for the sake of adsense, you'll most likely get
slapped by google smart pricing.

I was using black hat methods to get traffic and pretty much trapping my
visitors. At first it was great and I was getting $.50 to over $1.00 a click.
But over the course of just a week, my epc drastically dropped and I was
getting only 7-20cents a click. it was sickening to get over 700 clicks a day
and barely passing the $100 mark when I was getting that in less than 200
clicks before.

My advice is to test it and track it for yourself over the course of 2-3 weeks.
Some sites like product reviews will do better than others because it targets
visitors who are more incline to click on ads.

Ditto above.

Though in my experience is the easiest money maker. It does'nt require selling or anything and its completely passive. personally I don't see why it can't be included in anyones earnings portfolio. Its too easy money to pass up, even if its shrinking.

My Adsense sites are still very profitable every months

On average, my sites brings me $14-$20 each every day (white hat sites).

And what I like about them is low maintenance. Some of them I have not touch in 2 years! This is what I call a good ROI.

I like Adsense for the reasons above but a couple of dollars a day is really chicken feed profit. www.Click-Ads.org make 100 times the profit for the same page space. It is good for a few very hot niches, is also set and forget.
