7,352 impressions/37 clicks/$5.28 earned
Ok most of my traffic is SE, and I have ads text ads only. I have the horizontal 5 text links at the top near the title, the large text square in my article, and I have the horizontal text rectagnle on the bottom.
I am wondering why my clicks are so low? Should I make my ads Click Me blue even though they would stick out like a sore thumb?
right now my ads text match my brown theme. I am using the adsense integrator(the simplest one to use)...Is there a better Adsense integrator plug in to place ads in my article?, one which is easy to use?

Change colors, position and see what happens. Then change again. And again. You will have an idea of the best way to put your ads. That 's the way to go.

Remove 1/2 the ads and all outbound links for a quick test.
Less options for action = more chance of desired action chosen.
Also, 10 ads on a page means ads 6-10 pay very low compared to the top 5. If you only have a few, your odds of getting higher cpc clicks improves.

I just checked my adsense this morning
I had 1,724 impressions, 57 clicks, $2.64 earnings
So should I just leave the ads in the article and remove the ones on the side?

dude your lucky! you must be doing one of those sites where people are looking to buy something, mine is just a sports news blog site.
I believe most of my traffic is organic I never post my site anywhere, my site got accepted to yahoo and google news a few weeks ago so I know most of its organic, Not everyone will click on ads man.
you are so lucky, props to you though for making that much money, I wish I could even make 50 dollars a day it would help me pay some of these bills.

3.3% CTR on a sports news site? You should be extremely happy with that IMO.
You just need to understand that your site is going to show some low paying ads. Hence the reason your earnings are so low. If I were you I would be thankful and move on to the next site.
If you don't want to do that take off one of your ads that way you will most of the time only be showing the highest paying ads. Give this a test run and see what happens. Your CTR might go down but you may have a higher pay out per click.

You should try creating a few solid backlinks and submitting a few articles. I find this helped me a lot by getting me more specialized traffic, with people who are more likely to click on ads for the extra information than simple SE traffic users. For example somoene who follows a link in an ezine article to your website, is more likely to follow another adsense link because they want more information.

Question here, and not meaning to jack this thread. But what do you mean, 6 - 10 pay very low compared to the top 5?

I think he means the first ads towards the top of the page pay more?

Re: 7,352 visitors/37 clicks/$5.28 earned
Yep just like when you are bidding on adwords. Highest bidder gets top spot lowest gets 10th. So if you're only showing five ads you'll only be showing the top five highest bidders. Higher bidders = higher percentages for you. Happy days.

so is it better to just put 1 ad block say only in the article and no more ads?
even though you get fewer clicks would those clicks be higher paying?

Re: 7,352 visitors/37 clicks/$5.28 earned
you can try
1. link ads so that the visitors might click it thinking it as a link in your site
2. CPM if you have high visitors from US, UK etc
3. CPA
4. In text ads(chitika, adbrite)
5. Blend the ads in between your content and not on top of the website so that its gets more exposure
6. Reduce the number of ad blocks if you have a MFA site
7. Full page ads

Chitika and adbrite I thought its illegal to have those on the same page as adsense? how much do those pay out?
Are those the highlight word things in posts and you click it you get paid?
