I have a site that is up to 67 subdomains on a domain, and every single subdomain.. plus their pages are indexing just fine. In fact this site is averaging about $29/day now.. it's one of my better sites.

The site goes after real estate, realtor keywords.. so the CPC averages around $3.50. I create "city pages" and auto-blog in content. I don't see why I could not create 150+...

As for hosting, he has mentioned using a few accounts I believe, but has been ambiguous overall of the need for using multiple hosts. I've been looking to get something like that and I saw SEO Hosting from Host Gator but it's a bit expensive. The one you use seems like it would be much better to go with.

I just finished reading this entire thread, it took me a few weeks. I am new to SEO and this thread was perfect for me. It is a long process to get your head wrapped around it all.

In the last 4 weeks I now have 13 domains built out. I am focusing on building them a little bigger than MNS sites, as my extra pages see early traffic because of less competition in the keywords. But my main keywords are steadily growing in the rankings.

I feel I have the on page SEO down, and the keyword research I am pretty good. The hardest part for me is the promotion. I use scrapebox and also an article link service, and social bookmark to get indexed. And I am going to buy a small Xrumer blast to test that out. I am trying to figure all that out now.

I would like to write the articles myself, as well as keyword research, because I enjoy it. But the promotion, I want to eventually outsource most of it if I can.

Anyway, I just wanted to show my gratitude for all the helpful information in this thread.

HOTBOY: You seem like a good guy and keep it up. I know you won't let all the haters get you down. You always have a good attitude in the face of negativity and I respect that.

I tried the Xsitepro crack and built a couple of sites. Then I started getting a couple of bugs because the software was outdated and needed to be updated. Finally just ditched it and use Wordpress. I like XSite because you can switch screens so quick while WP is so slow.

$2 for 500 words? Good writers won't do this for $2. I would expect to pay at least $5 for this. I won't do that for anything less than $10!

Adsense is a goldmine if you don't cheat the system. The more content you build, the better off you will be!

That's actually not what he said in his latest update. What he did say was that the initial release was based on what he was doing at that time, which DID work. The initial ebook was meant as a site launch guide...just a "launch"...Not a starting and ending point. His initial ebook was never even intended to cover maintenance of your site after the first five pages...it was really just meant to be about "getting started" and that was it.

I've spoken to John before via skype and that is the one thing he always mentioned over and over again. His initial approach is/was a snapshot in time of an approach he was taking action on and it was working. The "method" still works however it just went out of control as we all have witnessed. Most importantly the ebook was also based on testing over 100 sites (if I recall correctly) since the initial ebook. I've put up niche sites but they never bring in more than like $20 per year... it's not worth it just don't do it because your sites will look like garbage to adsense. And one flaw on your site could give you a reason to be banned... Build traffic to a big site and invest in it!

Since I'm still online I'll take another stab at this to try and clear the air a bit. Reread my post above and you'll notice that the micro site craze was taken out of context...it wasn't meant to advocate 5 page sites are the one and all solution to making money. It was simply a starting point...that reminds me xfactor (John) mentioned to me in a conversation that it wasn't even in his thought process that people would just build 5 page sites and just stop and wait. He's actually a simple guy from what I can tell and it appears he just assumed that people would expand their sites by logically adding more pages over time. Instead, the whole IM world clung to the 5 page idea and it's still a dent in our perception.

His method, if you want to call it that, was based on "micro niches" where you find smaller niches within profitable markets and setup a quick and dirty site to get started. It was never intended to be a "micro site" ebook where you make dozens or hundreds of 5 page sites. There's a huge difference between those two...take a look or reread the initial ebook if you have the time or inclination.

"Niche sites" do bring in more than $20 per year, I think what you meant were micro sites. No one really knows what's considered a "micro site" these days...is it 5 pagegs? 10? 25? Talk to some people and even 150 pages could be "micro" to Google.

What we do know is that sites focused on "niches" that have good traffic with advertisers spending money is a good sign and represents a possible opportunity for you to make more than $20 per year. If you can only make $20 a year...then that's an issue with you and your approach.

The adsense business really seems simple to me...research a niche you can wiggle in, create a highly themed site with original and quality written content, promote your site...make money. Now there's a lot of inbetweens left out in that statement but try not to overcomplicate things with every new tool or twist that "improves" the method.

Google knows every site has flaws and getting banned can happen or it won't. Nibiru could come between the Earth and Moon or it won't...we can't control everything but stacking the odds in our favor with adsense is possible. Just stay white hat and give the visitor quality content and Google will most likely keep you in business because you refer good quality prospects to their advertisers which actually convert.

It's a win, win, win for all parties involved.

Wow, A long time since I posted on this thread.

I guess my timing to dump the sites I owned were on point. I figured that google would catch up on the system and crash it.

Looks like it did.

what I did do and did not disclose was, I kept the top 10% revenue sites for myself, and devoted time and effort to improving these sites. these sites all followed the same basic rules, "think like a funnel sales system". If they read the site, and went all the way to the end, they encountered a vendor ( Google, Commission Junction, whatever affiliate program... ). All the vendors loved me and I went EVIL. ( Ever have 20%+ conversions without refunds from 1 web site and it was consistent) I called every vendor and offered exclusives on my site. Must have acquired a 700+ clients and sold more sites to vendors.

Point of the story, it was a good system, it worked ( and might still work ), but the end game is selling the sites to the vendors. a good site, made with quality content, will win in the long run and make you a success. effort + some brains = profit

Fair do's for aiming high, I am new to this but created my first site with Adsense on my own 7 months ago, didn't see any clicks until 5 months later! but when I saw 1 click made £1.17 I thought wow! I have do nothing but create my site with Adsense to achieve this.

Point been I have since go onto create 9 sites with Adsense and Amazon Associates that were generating me around around 50p a day but now generating me nothing really the odd few pence here and there per day any one help out with ideas why this might be?

I am really interested in making quite a few sites like yourself but doesn't seem to work out for some people unfortunaltly and I may be one of these!

Google have hit affiliate and adsense type sites hard and regularly over the past year or two

I used to make my living from a big forex wordpress autoblog site until a year ago - till it lost it's google traffic and I let it expire (first adsense, then affiliate sales after adsense ban)

My many niche wordpress autoblog sites with 50 to 300 pages never made much money - so I let them all expire (you can't get enough traffic with these type of sites - and getting the content is a nightmare as well)

I've been scratching my head for a year, and am going blackhat again - this time with xsitepro and thousands of hidden "doorway" pages as outlined on this forum by someone - 1000's pages linked to from xml sitemap, with sitemap links hidden so only search engines find the pages (front end of site looks squeaky clean)

If your site looks like its made to make money from anything other than a real business - i.e. you're a dentist, manufacturer, etc. forget it - you'll get blocked by google

Make an info site with no visible means of making money - make your money from the hidden pages

My cliff notes:

Read this thread starting from page 1 over 2 days. I recommend reading pages 1-40 (about the time BillyGood drops off). Lot of good insights and discussion. I learned a lot of things. Though BillyGood recommends writing down on a piece of paper, I had cut and paste into Word so I can print them off and look into the discussions further.

If you want to save 8 hours you can skip Pages 40-73 - I mostly skimmed it. There are some good posts and insights but you really have to dig deep. I would love to see an update on lilblackhat's journey.

If you want a summary, skip to page 74 and start reading.
