Advice needed: getting a UK national Insurance number.

Recently moved to the UK and i've just started working aswell, Now I need to get a national insurance number. looking around i've found a few sites that offer a service to sort out paperwork and they also claim it can be faster, and I'm wondering if they aren't scams and if it is even worth using such a service.

checking online the Uk govt says to call their number to set up an interview.

Anyone else have experience with this? I'm just after what will get the number the quickest and easiest way.

Also I am an EU national.

So which one do you think would be the most plausible. The gov.uk website where they walk you through the process or dodgybiz.blogspot ?

You'll most probably be getting fucked out when they pull the Brexit lever anyway but if you want to get legit for the year thats in it you ring the government helpline and set up an interview in your nearest centre.

You cannot get a UK National Insurance without living there a year. You will need a bank statement proving you been there 12 months. I'm from the UK and went through the nightmare with my partner (Bulgarian). They finally approved her the day before we was leaving

Just say you are 16 and fleeing a war torn country. Don't matter if you look 50. You will get your NI number and the rest of the benefits, house, car, loans, grants.

On a serious note, even though that was serious. Go to the local Job Centre or tax office. I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

Call Jobcenter plus. Explain you're looking for your NI. They may just simply ask for information. I wouldn't go through a service, as they're extremely overpriced. When I was getting my UK citizenship a simple call cut through a lot of the confusion.

May as well. Especially when you have these new age hippy clowns who want a free for all land. But it is fine for them, they pay fuck all into society anyway. Turds who are bumming their lives and other people's money away at uni, doing pointless degree, one after the other.

Update: ended up getting my national insurance number with no issues whatsoever and within a month!

Wife is foreign, all she did was call .gov and provide the information they wanted and it was sorted out pretty quick.

I'm guessing it depends where you're coming from tho, not all EU countries get the same deal. Although Bulgarians can come and work here, I'm not sure you get instant access to our healthcare? Same is true for Romanians I think.

And OP, all these other sites are fakes and scams, go direct to .gov.
