I have been reading, reading, trying for 3 months now, i have 3 blogs monetised, ebay account selling, ebay partner network, clickbank etc only now because of redundancy have i time to put more into practice.
The question is how long was it for you successful internet marketers before you started making good money?
I have patience but also bills to pay..lol....
Also have decided to try only 3 things to start with, you can get overload with all the great information on here, what in your opinion is the best place to start to make a little money...CPA?, landing page associated with affiliated product, moneytised blogs...any comments will be interesting to read.

I know this is going to sound a little vague, but in my experience I had to try a whole bunch of things before I started making any real money from IM.

The first thing that made any money for me was CPA offers. Although this was not a lot, $2-6 per day, I knew there had to be a way of scaling up. After trying for weeks it got a little better then a little better and now I make a living from CPA that probably took about 6 months...... now im looking at other sources of income and the next big thing.

Good luck buddy, remember keep at your methods for some time, don't keep flitting between them and try to experiment, if it does not work one way, try another way and keep going. The wrong decision is often better than indecision!

Approximately 6-7 months before I started making real money. But don't start that count from when I joined BHW, I started way before.

Sorry, I don't want to sound rude but acesUP could you give me an idea of roughly the amount we could expect if working on a similar level to you?

I am willing to put the work in, and have been spending the past week learning and reading but have no real idea of what I would be looking at or if it will be worth it.

Don't feel like you have to, but perhaps if you didn't mind a PM?

Thanks

It really depends on the person, time , knowledge, funds etc..

So it can be different for everyone and just learn, test , learn , test , and rinse and repeat.!

For me it took 3 months to make my first thousand, i know is not a lot but im still a big noob. next goal is $3000 / month so im planing my next small step towards that.

What i can tell you is that beside knowledge, funds, time, etc, when you start PATIENCE is one of the most important things.

Personally I don't agree with your work ethic.

I think that you should fully understand what you are doing, what methods you'll use, what tools you'll need, and a step by step guide outlining exactly what you need to do.

I don't believe in blindly diving in and trying to make $3000. pfff....
You should be starting projects that could make that much in 1 week.

I mean then there are times when you need to learn how to do it correctly and get experience, but for me it isn't about just blindly saying I want $3000 this month. It's about what I am going to do, potentially how much I could make, and a full understanding of how I am going to do it.

For instance I don't just rush and try stuff and do it stupidly. I have a list of like 60 really good methods (some long-term and short-term, some that will take a long time to setup and a short time to setup, some that will makes thousands in a few days or will make a little but constantly every day), then I choose like 5 of those and step by step say what I am going to do (not exact, but what's required, etc...)

ALSO HERE'S A TIP, WHITEBOARDS AND BULLUTIN BOARDS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND. ALSO HAVING A FAST COMPUTER AND AN EXTRA MONITOR ARE EXTREMELY USEFUL.

It took me about 6-8 months before I made any real coin. Then once you figure out a method and that bulb goes off in your head you can start to make a good amount and never look back.

IM is great for those who are discliplined and have a good action plan. Pretty much what jakeumms said....

I like what jakeumms is saying.

With there being so many different ways of making money online, sometimes you can spread yourself too thinly, try a bunch of ideas out, and not really achieve anything. Concentrating on a single method helps.

A good systematic approach and finding the key to making the method work as opposed to just running through the motions, is crucial. Writing it out and planning each step helps you to visualize any resources/tools needed to reach your goal.

Another thing that might be useful when starting out is finding a method that resonates with you. Like, if you're good at creating vids then do the youtube thing. If you're good at writing articles then do that, because you tend to do better at things you like doing.

If you don't know what to do, and have no idea what you're good at, then just find something that people are getting results with and do that.

When you start seeing some results, whether the results are good or bad, plan your next step. Which is either to scale it up or to drop it.

Then move onto finding and developing the next method.

wtf?in theory you can start making money now,but reality is-to much time is being spend on this or that tool,e-book,new method....one word -crap,and it is simple:
product(aff, cpa, your product)+traffic(promotion)=brand new 14.century castle and next years Ferrary,Paris Hilton as masseur (nothing else, don't like girls without meat on the bones)....lol
Anyway, best and fastest (for me) is CPA + purchased Adware networks traffic.
How long did it take me?Call me moron but 1 year more or less(bs)

Started a month ago, Almost earned my first 50 dollars from cpa.
Could've been 200 if it wasn't for CP4L3dd.

in my opinion the best place to start earn money is e-whorin + cpa, it worked for me quiet well and gettin money almost instantly (in 2-3 weeks)
but 'good money' is relative so i don't know what's good for you when i started makin money (2008 jan) i earned avg. 40$/day

Took me a year to make 150$/day.

It wasn't gradual, I had made like little surges of 1000$ total in that year, but only 2 weeks ago have found a method that makes 150$/daily.

In my opinion it's just finding the right method then working the shit out of it. Until then, just try everything, ditch if if you don't get anything.

Work ethic????

Im just saying that last month i made my first $1000 next month i plan to make $3000 since i have a lot more experience now, im not blindy diving into just making 3000 dollars. Maybe you can teach me your work ethics so i can start projects of 3000 a week, just to think in 3000 dollars per week makes me salivate.

cheers.

I kind of disagree with what you are saying jakeumms...I don't think methods that you put all your work into necessarily will make you money. What if you do it wrong? For instance, I started some bum marketing 2 weeks ago. I haven't done any linking yet, but I'm afraid to because I'm scared I still won't make any sales because I did it wrong (and thus waste tons of time).

Does anybody else experience this phobia? It's like I'm afraid to fail.

Failure must be the most common fear that any person in any field has, fear to fail is the first reason that keeps people off doing or taking action on things. But you have to understand that failure is really a very good thing to happen just good as success can be, why? because failure gives you much more experience than success, and if you look at the numbers is more likely for a person that have failed before to have success and is more likely to fail for a person that havent failed ever.

Knowing that is easy but overcome fears is not so easy as it sounds.

I took me a good year before I started making money..I made a little here and there, but It took a good year and many many hours reading and testing things out...You really have to be committed...I am more of like addicted.

If you don't try you fail, as long as you do it you're on the right track. Then there is the topic of being afraid of success. Crazy stuff... :yield:
