Just a quick question:

Say my keyword for SEO is "cookie". If someone searches "cookies" does it include searching for cookie? cookies

edit: if this works, then would also having the keyword "cookies are good as hell" also help if someone searches "cookies are good"?

For the big G Matrix machine, usually the answer is "No" and you can test it in G by just doing searches on "chocolate cookies" and "chocolate cookie" and you will see a big difference in the search results.

yeah but "chocolate cookie" has more results that "chocolate cookies". I did some other words with s, and without and the without there is always more searches, which leads me to believe that maybe the search for "chocolate cookie" contains all "chocolate cookies", or lots of them.

For your first question, yes, plus put cookies in your meta tags.

For your second question, yes, most likely if it's in your title especially.

Anchor backlinks can help tremendously.

I also have reason to believe that Google uses context clues.

Yup, that's the way to go. That way you'll have both the searchterms which means more traffic.

Another way is to mix cookie and cookies in your content and the most important which was mentioned is to input both in your meta keywords
