Muscle Car Club - Need good template ideas.

I am considering helping someone who is failing badly at making a muscle car club site.. it's a local thing. I would be doing it for free.

The owner just wants it to look cool and be able to let people post pics of their cars. I have never made a site for this purpose before.

What template or program do you all think would be best for something like this? I know html, some joom.. wordp.. and can work with php, though I sort of hate CSS.

Shoot me some ideas while you are taking a break from the cookies and ehoe's!
