Google ranks me on page 2 for my keyword, ideas to get it to first page?

I made a niche site for adsense to try out the method. After 3 days it got to page 2 for its main kw , which has about 3000 searches. Its not a week yet but im wondering if theres any suggestions to get it to first page ?

Ive been doing link building (small scale) these few days and it stays put, not moving at all. Did some social,article bookmark & submission as well. Any other ideas or your experience in micro niche blogging would help
