QS dropped from 10/10 to 1/10 because i paused my campaign?

I paused one of my campaigns for 24hrs since i wasnt getting sales, thanks MH your doing a fine job. Anyway, when i went to reactive it i see;

Rarely shown due to low quality score

Now this is a campaign that has had a QS of 10.10 since Sept 09. Now all of a sudden its a 1? I even placed the landing page on a full blown site. Still shows 1/10 after 6hrs and it refuses to start up.

So far my other campaigns are fine but whos to say for how long. A few of my 10/10 keywords have dropped to 7 over the past week for no reason.

WTF is Google doing exactly? Getting tired of their bullshit and the way they treat they long time customers who spent thousands and thousands of dollars a month to fuel the 3rd 767 they have on order.

If I'm not wrong, Google changed their algorithm in determine the QS to websites.

Not sure about that or what you mean. All i know is the landing page is on a domain that is #1 for the keyword out of 1.5million results. And it fluctuates daily. It drops to #6 then back up to #1 around lunch time.

So if the QS is so bad and the landing page is on the same domain why would it still be getting a 1?

Maybe they need to look at the algorithm again.

I had the same problem..Initially when you set up a new campaign my qualiy score was 7 ..after that it got reduced and my cpc increased drastically which made me wonder...
Try to include About us , Contact us page , Privacy policy and terms and Tos page.

Best possible explanatation for your quality decrease in quality score to 1 is it got reviewed by google...and google adwords doesnt like landing pages a lot...

**It also depends upon the nuber of impressions your get by adwords and number of clicks...as this ratio of impression and clicks becomes less , like more impressions and less clicks...your quality score decreses and thereby increases your CPC...

Some ways which determine these factors as per my experience
Domain age...older the domain...the better as it already has authority in the eyes of google.
Try to add more genuine related pages...like articles..that might help you.
Build separate pages and campaign for different keywords which you are advertising on.

Suppose your keyword is "teeth whitening" , have a page name like domain.com/teethwhitening.html as make thats as your landing page..

Submit a sitemap , and make sure there are no crawl errors and make just proper onsite seo is done for your landing pages...try to include title and description relevent to your keyword for each page.

Nix, the landing page is part of a large site. It has all those pages and more. The site is #1 on google organically. Yet, over 8hrs now, its still showing the same msg.

Surely, if you change and fix something the QS is re read by their bot and the campaign starts up again. Seems like maybe its been manually stopped.

if you're advertising a legit product service in a legit way, contact big G, I've read many forums about errors with the auto quality score system after unpausing accounts, ask someone to manually look over your landing page

During last update on Adwords (around a week ago) -- they implemented this little dirty thing. Now, when you pause the campaign OR if you budget goes down low -- your campaign starts from Zero again.

They did this to make sure that they are able to analyze the campaigns more real time. I have ad similar problems in past few weeks and now I have finally worked out a trick to by pass the QS dip.

I pause all the high spending keywords and reduce the daily budget to $100 a day when compared to my daily $1K spend. Google divides the budget into equal halfs and my QS doesnt dips low anymore.
