That didn't take long... demonstration of the BHW effect! 
still potentially some "****************" in here, ie :
"Subscribers. If I subscribe to your stream, that means I find you and your stream interesting. If you subscribe to my stream, however, I have no idea who you are."
This could mean that there's still a "****************" link relationship from your statusnet page to other pages that you've followed - will have to see with a little bit of investigation.
May be a way to build a "profile farm" that's able to pass a group of PR.
Still takes most of the ease out of it.

There are still a few statusnet sites which have do follow link like
- I personally use twitter and bwjams (rejaw shut but it was good) - plurk sucks
