i wrote and eBook (yes i actually wrote the whole damn thing) a step by step type book that sells for $40. i have a sales page type site I am using to sell the book directly. I also have a few blogs i am using as funnel pages. I am only getting organic traffic right now, which is VERY minimal and a pain in the ass to SEO organically.

what if I just did some PPC or similar and gave the book away for free but they had to provide a email submit or survey or some CPA type offer (related in topic to ebook topic) to get the book? Is this incentivized and therefore not cool with the CPA networks?

gotta be a way to give away this product that sells for $40 but make the money on CPA

if your cpa network has incentive offers then you can do that.

so that would be considered an incentive type offer and requires an approved incentive offer?

still awaiting most of my CPA network approvals, but don't really want to start asking these type of questions with them.

most offers I've seen that allow incentives don't pay much - $1-2 each. So bear that in mind...

But, if you can drive traffic to your CPA, why can't you drive traffic to the book? What makes the book harder to get traffic for? Or, are you just not getting conversions? What about giving away an ecourse on the topic or a mini-book on the topic to get their emails and then you can market to them via email? Are you offering an affiliate program so others will sell for you?

IF you could drive up a LOT of targeted traffic to your e-book, then I'd suggest putting up a gateway on the download page. Also, make sure you take down their e-mail address so that you can e-mail them in the future.
If you cant' generate a lot of traffic, just sell the e-book for a cost.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like what I really need is to get some traffic to test my conversions once people get to the page. Once i can get a good ROI with conversions, I could then try a squeeze page to capture their email by giving away a chapter or free report even if they don't buy. I guess the question now is what is a good way to buy inexpensive traffic so i can test my conversions? The niche/ebook i wrote is Loan Modification and Foreclosure Delay

OP, I'm reading a lot of try here, try there.... DO IT!

squeeeeeeze your book as giveaway or coupon to build your list. then you can fire CPA like hell and burn prospects with your autoresponder

and offer your work to affiliates with 75% commission since 25% of 1,000's sales is better than 100% of nothing

Why would you wait until you're getting conversions to put up a squeeze page? You have that backwards! You put up a squeeze page to GET conversions, not the opposite. By waiting, think of all the emails you're not collecting and potential sales you're missing!
