hello BHW
i just want to know how many votes should i get to get front page on digg/reddit?

Not sure but I've had 50 but never got close to the ft page!

i have searched a website that tells if you can get 40-50 votes in 30 minutes you probably on front page. If you get 70-80 in under 18 hours you will probably stay at front page. But if you didn't get 40-50 vote in 24 hours you are not anywhere.

As long as your submission is not blatant spam (and redditor mods will easily catch it if it is), it is fairly easy to make it to the front page of reddit. You'll need 15-20 accounts to create, all with unique IP's.

If your link is mildy humorous, it should take right off.

I've made it to the front page of reddit 8 or 9 times. (Link went to page of funny pics + ads). Made 9-15k hits each time.

Still...in the long run reddit is not worth it, most of their users run adblock, and those that don't do not click on ads.

Digg is fucking impossible to make it to the frontpage IMO.

so to make my story get front page on reddit i must first create 15-20 account and then vote it with this account right?

I've hit front page of reddit with as little as FOUR accounts.

Let me clarify though, my links were to a page with a humorous image, so it was something people WANTED to see. If you are linking to a shitty MFA website that looks like spam it doesn't matter if you have 500 accounts, the rest of the site members will downvote you into oblivion.

If you have something genuinely interesting to read/see, and have 15-20 accounts then yes, you can submit with one and vote up your submission with the others, but don't do it from the same IP address (obviously).

Also be prepared for quite a few downvotes as other spammers are running bots/scripts on that site, they'll make a submission, and then autodown vote all other recent submission, to help push their own toward the top.

All once again, reddit is a piss poor place if you want hits on a shitty ad site. Most of these guys run ad block anyway. So your views will go up, but half of them won't even see your ads, and the other half won't click on them.

Wow, really good to know. I had been looking into some of this sites for additional sources of income. I might go crazy and make a ton of digg accounts and try to get to frontpage. I could always use them for other stuff as well so it is not a waste.

I appreciate the insight.

Kind Regards,

If your a newbie digger, only takes 50-90 diggs. For power diggers, it takes 200+ diggs (most of the time) :)

If you want more diggs, join comradez.net test it. It's great. Free to join.

Interesting, these numbers are worth testing. What exactly is the difference between a newbie digger and a power digger? Is this some terminology from digg that I have not looked into or just your own descriptions? Why would newbie diggers need less to get on the front page? Could it be that their diggs are considered more than those from a power digger who could just be spamming?

Just my thoughts and questions.

I'm a former power digger(yes, got ban) This is a well-known fact among power diggers. Power diggers have 100+ frontpage, 150+ active mutuals and lots of fans. If you spot a 60-90 diggs story hitting the frontpage of digg. It's from a newbie(few mutuals, few FP, few fans).

250 diggs for Digg Website Front Page in 24 hours and 100 reddit for reddit website Front page in 24 hours.

All diggs and reddit should be from Individual ip address (exclusive private proxy). maintain time gap randomly between each digg and reddit, so it look like genuine.

Not true, digg algorith is complex so noone can know exact number of diggs that will get you to FP.

Ah, I see. Thank you for clarification. Since you got banned did you decided to start up again? Was all the work building up the account only to get banned worth it so you started again? Or did you decide it was too much work?

Just trying to get whatever info I can.

Minimum 150+ diggs need for getting frontpage, oh yes, it's also depending on your story quality and promotion method.
