Be a warrior in a garden, not a gardener in war.

I have quite a few..

Don’t focus on your weaknesses, focus on your strengths.

Stay hungry, stay foolish.

You can’t please all of them, stop trying to.

etc

"Let us remain hopeful for eternal life for those who don’t know what to do with themselves, wasting their time reading magazines and watching television. (…) The life I desire is not one I could endure forever. It is a life full of intensity, suffering, and creation—everything that makes life worthwhile and death welcome. For no other life would I want. Nor would I want to live forever."
Walter Kaufmann

What is your's?
too many to remember them all. But the ones I remember are...

1) Everything in life is about sex, except for sex. Sex is about power...

I don't remember who had said this (I think it was Oscar Wilde, but I'm not sure)... To be honest, this quote is not as relevant as it's been in the days past because nowadays people can live without sex just fine, but back then it was a very true quote :)

2) The 2 most important days in the life of a man are the day he is born, and the day he finds out why...

presence of money may not make you happy, but its absence will make you unhappy
not really! There are cashless societies out there that are way happier and better than ours. I personally don't subscribe to this quote...

Nice to know bro. :)

You might know this as well..

Once a British asked Swami Vivekananda - " Why can't you wear proper clothes to look like a gentleman?"

Swami Vivekananda smiled and said-

" In your culture, a tailor makes a gentleman; but, in our culture, Character makes gentleman. "

This response highlighted the emphasis on inner values and spiritual development in Indian culture.

I like his speech, Stories .. Few I'd like to share with you here please..

The story is about a frog that believes its well is the largest body of water in the world, and how it refuses to believe a sea frog when it tells him the sea is much larger. The story's moral is to not be like the frog in the well, and to be open to exploring the world and stepping outside of your comfort zone

Here's the story:
  • A frog is born and raised in a well, and believes it's the largest body of water in the world.

  • One day, a frog from the sea visits the well and tells the well frog that the sea is much larger.

  • The well frog refuses to believe the sea frog and drives it away.

  • Vivekananda concluded that people often have a limited view of the world, and that they should not be afraid to step outside of their comfort zone

Yes hence we have this “kuor byang” phrase specifically for describing this. :D

Nice to know someone follows his ideologies from here. I don’t like the religious aspect of his life and work, otherwise I am a fan. :)

I too doesn't like his religious aspects, but one should take Good with the bad.

I take his motivation quotes, speech, Good ones.. by neglecting other aspects.
