Being indexed and getting
PR are two separate things.
You can get indexed in a matter of hours for example by using StatBlaster. Indexed means your site will appear in Google when you type site:
www.yoursite.com. To get into search results for specific keywords you will need to do
SEO.
Do not worry about
PR. It is only one of hundreds of factors Google takes into account when returning search results. If you want to get a PR1+, you will have to get backlinks. The more of them, the better. Their quality matters as well. The last thing is Google calculates
PR couple of times a year so even if you already have loads of backlinks but your site is new, your
PR will remain 0 until the next Google dance.
