Trying to push some traffic from social media, I know too well the bounce rate will be super high, will it affect the post SEO performance?
What a bad idea hah..No doubt it will.
I know but I'm more concerned about my SEO performanceBut high traffic will also bring you a positive impact
But the traffic is social, will it affect SEO?Source of traffic doesn't matter, google doesn't like high bounce rates. They think your content is not valuable. Same thing happens on Youtube, videos with low watch time don't get recommended.
To be honest, I can't say for sure if it affects SEO. But Google does have a problem with social traffic, at least adsense does. I've seen a lot of people get their adsense banned because 90%+ traffic was coming from social media. But the traffic is social, will it affect SEO?
It can only have a positive impact (if it does have any impact at all). Usually, it's a good idea to send social traffic to your new pages as it helps them get indexed (if the user is using Chrome)Trying to push some traffic from social media, I know too well the bounce rate will be super high, will it affect the post SEO performance?

Did I say something wrong?Hurts my brain
Okay now I understand,Did I say something wrong?
Edit: When I said "if the user is using chrome", I meant if the social traffic coming to your site is via Chrome (because Google does take inputs from Chrome usage to determine a page's popularity and user behavior. It's also the reason why some posts that go viral on social media end up getting boosted in the SERPs too)
That really depends on what you're making them click for. Typically, you have about 2-3 seconds to get someone's attention.Okay now I understand,
What I want to get clear is: I'm tricking the users to click on the link, users are coming to the wrong page (what they're not expecting to see) so they're going to close it after few seconds.
Will it be a problem?
They're coming to see adult sh*t but when they land at my page what they'll see is me trying to lead them to Christ and more of thatThat really depends on what you're making them click for. Typically, you have about 2-3 seconds to get someone's attention.
For my ADHD ass, if I can't find what I'm looking for in about 4-5 seconds on a webpage, then I usually close it and go to the next.
I mean have you looked at maybe targeting Christian groups etc? The more targeted the better. They're coming to see adult sh*t but when they land at my page what they'll see is me trying to lead them to Christ and more of that![]()
Nope, the adult world is where I can get more people to click, those guys will click every link to watch p**nI mean have you looked at maybe targeting Christian groups etc? The more targeted the better.
So, you have religious stuff on your tech blog? I'm sorry, but how are your rankings in terms of keywords? I asuume your topical authority would not be good in the eyes of Google IMO.
