Newbie Question: How do you work out how much money you'll make from a coin?

Sorry guys, I know It may sound stupid to those more clued up but I'm new to this so give me some slack

Is 1.0000 classed as one dodgecoin for instance or is it 0.0001 for instance?

Also how do you work out how much you'll get in return of say $100 invested?

It's ok, found out.

100 invested. It rises by 10%, you just made 10% profit.
