Firefox deleted (read why) - First post on Brave and its been good so far.

I don't know what's happening with tech at the moment, but after reading this article Titled "we need more than deplatforming" on the Mozilla org blog by Mitchell Baker Executive Chairwoman and CEO of the Mozilla Foundation.
Who BTW is the person I now imagine naked - to stifle an unwanted public erection.( Note to self : gotta find a bus route that doesn't go past the college ( It use to be Margret Thatcher sitting naked on the shitter with marigolds and a bog brush..)).
I have decided to cut ties with Firefox and any Mozilla tech and move to Brave. I had used FF for probably 15 years. Once you realise the political motivation of a tech company you have to ask, is the software is safe to use whether you agree with those politics or not.?
Anyway I quite like Brave and this is my first post on my favourite platform using it.

Firefox died on august 11th, 2017 when it was bought out by a political activist (Soros)

They all seem to be at it these days, I think they begin to believe in their own hype. Once they realise they are replaceable they soon try and fix their act but it's usually too late by then. No organisation is too big to be replaced. Fortunately there will continue to be alternatives, and long may it continue.

They try to work together to prevent alternatives, however eventually there is a breaking point and they will collapse. Once they force an alternative bank to be created with an old school "All legal businesses allowed" mentality its over for the tech cartel. They will either stop trying to interject personal viewpoints into business or their market share will crash.

Everytime when I see these things it reminds me of the president Reagan's joke about 3 dogs. What they want is everyone to live as government's wishes and in few years time there will be no one to raise a voice against them.

I will never get why people care that much about "privacy", politics etc... I mean, hey, you're online, of course, they will track your behavior. I don't care if Mark Zuck or any other knows if I searched for this, or this, or do I like this or that, did I call that, or this... I mean, who the fuck even cares? Here I am, using Chrome, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Skype for years, no FBI on my doors, no psycho killers on my doors... I mean since when are people so sensitive about this?

We used to go out of the cave and hunt for wildlife, make fire etc etc, now we care if our phone is tracking our interests... Idk...

There is no other way to judge a company than by the things they do and say on individual merit. You can't just weigh the good things and the bad things and write them off as balanced right? This week firefox took a stance that's gone against it's entire prior philosophy and it can't just be ignored either.

I do agree they've contributed greatly to the internet in the past. Hopefully, they smarten up, get out of politics and continue to do the same into the future.

You're giving too much weight/credit to Mozilla as an organization. Without Brendan Eich, who created JavaScript (and co-creator of Rust), Mozilla wouldn't have done jack for the development of the most ubiquitous web tech around.

Mozilla died to me in 2014 when they appointed him to CEO and half the board threw a fit and stepped down because he had donated a measly $1,000 to a prop they didn't agree with, and forced him to resign after less than two weeks. At that point it was clear Mozilla was more interested in biased politics than bringing on minds that create and innovate. I'm glad they're taking another public stance and I hope Mozilla burns themselves to the ground with this. The world will go on and innovate just fine without them.

I agree it can't be ignored. But saying im gonna cut ties with mozzilla tech coz thr ceo said this statement is kinda stupid in my eyes.

I still like a bit of Ben & Jerrys now and then, it will make me "fatter" I know. But chocolate fudge cant be used to backdoor my PC. ( I don't think it can? lol)

I didnt test Brave. I just read bad stuff about that (placing affilliate links, mining Crypto in Background with the browser). I dont like Firefox too much. I use either chrome or opera, but i like chrome more. I just give google my data, because uncle google knows everything anyways.

I missed your comment! Brendan Eich is also behind braves development I do believe? I've grown pretty fond of brave tbh. It has a few drawbacks, notably the lack of being able to carry over a user profile without significant effort on the part of the user.

Now people suddenly started to care about the security of their data.
Humanity surprises me more every day.

Ive never used firefox more than couple of days (well i use the tor browser once in a while wink wink).

Why Vivaldi is not very popular here? The best browser ive used so far.
