Hello everyone, I'm new on the forum and so far got great value for my money invested (which was 0) ;)

I am part of a very specific organisation which provides a very specific type of service. Seriously.

We basically sell small plots of land (grapes and wheat) for people so that once a year get they see their produce grow and get their own produce home.

There's much more to that, but I'm keeping it short.

We (almost) literally have 0 competition but at the same time, it's difficult to get clients since people don't really know so much about it. I could swear there's genuine interest in this thing from people who know its value.

And that's the problem: how do you find good KW to rank for when it's a barely explored niche? You can't just search for competition because the few companies who provide this type of service are certainly not competing for anything online. We do know who our target audience is but they are not so aware that this type of service exists.

How would the more experience members of this forum approach finding keywords for this project?

I'm currently building the website and want to add some 10-20 articles to start. Any ideas would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot!

Start with KGR oriented keyword research and arrive at the content strategy. Keep populating the site constantly and scale it up gradually.

As you've already told then people know the value of this product and you know who these people are. The problem is that they are not aware of the product and do not search for it (yet).
Been in such a situation a few times and doing SEO at least at that point is a waste of time/resources. As you know who to sell to, go with Facebook ads. Clicks will be cheap since the product lacks competition.

You can create some blog posts for funnels or advertise the product directly. Make a video and advertise that. Multiple opportunities to push your product and brand with Facebook ads. Will be a far better ROI of time and resources.

You should target broader topics like how to grow your own grapes and people who like certain types of home grown food, write articles about this and in each of these articles talk a bit about your offer.

that is an interesting idea indeed, create a web, social media accounts and all the obvious. I'd go for some bio food/online grocery shopping focus on the strategy.

Doing this wrong.

You need to decide what your niche / kw is and just market that.

So it could be as simple as grow your own X (although will no doubt be competitive to a degree) you need to decide exactly what is is your doing and then map out from there any keywords or anything that falls under that and then go looking for both your direct and indirect competitors and see what they are ranking for.

If you can sum it up to what you do how you describe it to me in a sentence?

And go from there.

That's where you start first.

Then you want to be building up a bit of PR so get some press releases done and get them in the paper to market and promote EXACTLY what you do - if no one knows about it you need to educate your market.

Then your end product who is it your targeting? IF it's grapes I would start to maybe reach out to vineyards or small independent wine producers, produce a marketing pack and mail it out to them. Same for the wheat side of things contact bakers, mills, explain what you do price break downs etc..

Mills and Vineyards are no doubt going to have some land BUT if you are offering the land to grow, manage and harvest for them it could be a cost reduction. Not to mention different flavour grapes and wheat based on unique soil conditions of that area..

Start with all the high end customers and commercial side of things first and then reach out to Joe Public after..

That's what I would be doing. Just trying to SEO

"grow my own grapes on rental land" is going to be such a laser focused thing you aint going to get far you need to tell people about the service they never knew they needed.

Thank for all the answer, I will read them through!

In the grocery market, there are many competitors are available but it depends where they exist. But if your audience does not aware about your product then it seems like it missing something. It required to do some Brainstorming to target not only the audience but also keywords. The quality food of the product also important to introduce them. Keywords analysis tools are available free and paid both, so use based on requirements.
