Apparently the limit is 12 hashtags per account - I've got a few valuable ones and a couple just for fun. I'm assuming that sprouter will rival twitter but not eclipse it, since it is a niche site. It might eventually have a high PR and posts to it might get you indexed quickly the wame way that twitter does. It's only a few months old and was just mentioned on Mashable.
