Kinds of makes sense that, whoever was entering those phone numbers, probably knew how to generate the pin code based on the phone number. All they needed was a phone number that would ring through, someone answered, and the code was given so they could enter it on the website. A few people also suggested that the number was Craigslist calling to verify accounts. Anyway, currently it is just services with the restriction, jobs is still open and so are all the other sections on CL. People are now saying it takes 8 flags before your post is deleted, it used to be much lower (Im not sure how many, but the point is its higher now, your ads will be removed much less). So we can still post in the jobs and all other sections of the site. Jobs will probably go to phone verification shortly, but the remainder of the site most likely wont. Makes it harder but not impossible to post on CL still.
